• Paul Stoskus Poetry

    Satori

    Morning reverie:
    the charming redolence of
    a woman's wet hair.

  • Anticipation

    A lighted window
asks in the early morning dark
    what daylight will bring.

  • Paul Stoskus Poetry

    The Cynical

    await that clarifying moment

    or the difference in illumination

in which at last they will finally

    recognize the hidden strangers

    among all the familiar faces.

  • The Conversations of Matter

The many dialects of wind-assisted leaves the forest curates.

Surf and shore together constantly improvising their ancient dialogue.

The polyglot of rumbling, ticking and twanging in the built environment.

Except when fractured, the inexorable background murmur of tectonic plates.

Beneath them all, the eternal colloquy of energy and matter trading places.

Other Places, Other Times

Our human journeys, however varied, however long and meandering they might be, have one common destination. In my own life journey, reading and sometimes writing poetry has been a singular pleasure. This is my offering intended to add something, even if small, to the collective inheritance.  We start life with what appears to be an infinite menu of things to choose among.  We can't possibly choose them all.  So we pick some and not others.  I hope you'll choose to dip in here and perhaps find something you like, or that prompts your own creative effort.
